A: No. All L-25J gearboxes are supplied without oil (dry). Before initial operation, the gearbox must be filled with the correct grade of SAE 90EP gear oil to the specified level (maximum 0.35 L). Operating the gearbox without oil will cause immediate and irreversible damage to the bevel gears and bearings within minutes of running. Always verify the oil has been correctly filled to the level plug before engaging the PTO for the first time.
