The inner cross bearings started knocking audibly during morning feedings. "We run two Peecon 1700CF mixers on our finishing operation and one of the PTO drive shafts broke a shear bolt three times in a single week last January, probably because of frozen silage clumps. Switched both units to CMN's friction-clutch PTO shaft with the 1 3/4"-20 spline for our Case Puma 165. About 310 hours in now and zero shear bolt issues. CMN's version is CE-marked with a proper TÜV-recognized certificate, which our insurance required. The safety guard is slightly stiffer than the OEM but still well within the EN ISO specs.
