Align the internal splines of the PTO shaft adapter hub with the tractor PTO splines. Push the yoke fully home and engage the quick-release locking collar or retaining pin, depending on your specific tractor PTO stub design. Tug firmly on the shaft to confirm it is securely locked and cannot pull free. An unsecured PTO shaft is a critical safety hazard and will cause immediate driveline failure if the shaft disengages during operation.<\/p>\n<p>4. The yoke phasing at both ends of the PTO shaft universal joint must be correctly aligned (both in the same plane) to minimize torsional vibration and extend PTO shaft parts service life.<\/p>\n<p>5.
