As the tractor turns or the baler rides over uneven terrain, the shaft extends and retracts along its lemon profile tubes. At the baler end, the implement side PTO shaft yoke engages the BigBaler’s 1.750-6 spline input, driving the main gearbox that distributes power to the flywheel, packer forks, plunger, and knotting system.<\/p>\n<p>If the shaft is equipped with overload protection, such as a slip clutch PTO shaft or shear bolt PTO shaft, the protective device sits between the shaft and the implement input. The only reason for four stars instead of five is that I have not yet stress tested it over a full season. That said, the build looks solid, the splines are clean, and the guard quality is good.
