The correct PTO shaft length must be verified for each tractor-implement combination, as DC93\/DC103 primary shafts are often relatively short (approximately 36″ overall length), and operators must ensure sufficient telescoping overlap at all operating positions to avoid separation or over-turning.<\/p>\n The FNT34 Combination Clutch located at the rear of the secondary agricultural PTO shaft assembly serves two distinct protective functions. The friction slip clutch element is pre-set to a specific torque limit; when an obstruction (such as a large rock or plugged conditioner) creates a sudden torque spike above this threshold, the clutch slips momentarily, absorbing the energy before it can damage the gearboxes, yokes, or tractor PTO output shaft.
