Questo riduttore epicicloidale per la trasmissione dei cingoli utilizza un sistema di ingranaggi planetari, composto da un ingranaggio solare centrale, diversi ingranaggi planetari montati su un portatreno e una corona dentata esterna, che consente una trasmissione di potenza compatta con una moltiplicazione della coppia e una distribuzione del carico superiori.
