Il pre-stadio di riduttore a ingranaggi elicoidali PC costituisce il primo stadio di riduzione della velocit\u00e0. Gli ingranaggi elicoidali offrono maggiore efficienza e un funzionamento pi\u00f9 fluido rispetto agli ingranaggi a vite senza fine. Il pre-stadio di riduttore a ingranaggi elicoidali PC pu\u00f2 fornire rapporti di riduzione tipicamente compresi tra 2:1 e 10:1. Il riduttore a vite senza fine CMN-NMRV rappresenta il secondo stadio del riduttore e utilizza un meccanismo a vite senza fine. Gli ingranaggi a vite senza fine possono fornire rapporti di riduzione molto elevati, spesso da 5:1 fino a 100:1 o pi\u00f9.
