Questi ingranaggi presentano denti dritti, tagliati lungo la superficie di un cono, consentendo un innesto e un trasferimento di potenza fluidi. Il rapporto di trasmissione 1,5:1 significa che per ogni 1,5 giri dell'ingranaggio conduttore (ingranaggio di ingresso), l'ingranaggio condotto (ingranaggio di uscita) completa un giro completo.
