Le r\u00e9ducteur plan\u00e9taire, \u00e9galement appel\u00e9 bo\u00eete de vitesses plan\u00e9taire pour roues motrices, est un syst\u00e8me d'engrenages \u00e9picyclo\u00efdaux compact et \u00e0 haut rendement, con\u00e7u pour multiplier le couple et r\u00e9duire la vitesse des engins mobiles. Il s'int\u00e8gre parfaitement aux roues ou aux moyeux, permettant une transmission directe de la puissance. Dans le cas des pelles sur pneus, engins de terrassement mobiles mont\u00e9s sur un ch\u00e2ssis \u00e0 roues pour une mobilit\u00e9 accrue sur des terrains vari\u00e9s, le r\u00e9ducteur plan\u00e9taire constitue un \u00e9l\u00e9ment essentiel de la transmission finale.
