Constan de un tornillo sin fin (un engranaje helicoidal) y una rueda helicoidal (un engranaje dentado), generalmente alojados en una carcasa de hierro fundido o aluminio. La serie WPW, que forma parte de la serie WP de reductores de engranajes helicoidales, presenta un dise\u00f1o de montaje universal que permite una instalaci\u00f3n flexible en diversas orientaciones, como configuraciones de eje horizontales o verticales.<\/p>\n<p>Entre sus caracter\u00edsticas principales destacan una elevada relaci\u00f3n de reducci\u00f3n (hasta 100:1 en una etapa y 10\u00a0000:1 en dos etapas), capacidad de autobloqueo bajo ciertas condiciones y un funcionamiento silencioso gracias a componentes mecanizados con precisi\u00f3n, como ejes helicoidales endurecidos y ruedas helicoidales de bronce. Estos reductores de velocidad de engranaje helicoidal se utilizan ampliamente en aplicaciones como cintas transportadoras, polipastos y maquinaria agr\u00edcola por su durabilidad, estructura compacta
